Mr Alex Chua is the Chief Executive Officer of Goldbell Financial Services, a subsidiary of Goldbell Group, Singapore’s market leader in distribution and leasing of commercial vehicles. He is responsible for the overall strategy, business growth and performance of Goldbell Financial Services.
Drawing on his extensive corporate finance and regional experience to address the challenges of a fast-changing, ever-evolving business landscape, Alex established Goldbell Financial Services in 2015 to meet the funding needs of the Group’s SME clients and to further support their accelerating business growth by providing them with new and innovative financial solutions.
Alex brings to his role as CEO an inherent understanding of the business and challenges that entrepreneurs face, having witnessed Goldbell’s rise from its early years as a homegrown SME. Driven by the conviction that Goldbell Financial Services needs to take on more than just a traditional banking approach, he is invested in not only in deepening the domain knowledge and technical expertise of the firm, but is also constantly on the outlook for new financing business models and strategic collaborations to meet the financing needs of SMEs.
Empowering small business owners with capability-enhancing financial support to survive and thrive in today’s competitive economic landscape, under Alex’s stewardship, Goldbell Financial Services has within its first two years of operations amassed a strong portfolio of clients from varied sectors and has since funded more than S$247.5 million cumulatively (as of 31 May 2018).
Alex was the Chief Operating Officer of Goldbell Group prior to establishing and heading up Goldbell Financial Services. He was also previously working in JP Morgan as Head of Equity Derivatives Retail Structured Products Distribution S.E.A from 2005 to 2012. Highlights of his 8-year tenure include the launching of the first-of-its-kind retail structured product for JP Morgan in Singapore, and the first retail fund in Malaysia tracking the performance of oil. His client portfolios included private and wealth banking institutions and corporates across Greater China and South East Asia.
Valuing the importance of philanthropy, Alex takes time to contribute towards the good of the community:

He is an avid Brazilian Jiu-jitsu competitor, a foodie and traveler. He rarely says no to gourmet experiences and exciting expeditions.
